Toronto medics treated the 40-year-old man for the effects of pepper spray. A 45-year-old woman is facing charges, Const. Tony Vella said.
He said two passengers on the bus chased after the woman, keeping track of her until police arrived on the scene and arrested her.
Vella said the bus driver picked up the passenger at around 9:34 a.m. ET in front of the Downsview subway station.
A dispute arose over the transfer the suspect had and she then allegedly sprayed the driver with Mace. She fled the scene with two male passengers in pursuit.
